Why BOOKPOODAH Is

RISING SUN

The sun filtered through the dawn haze, cool yet, and diffused, overlaying pink upon the delicate, light-green leaves of the mimosa and the white cherry blossoms, pinking the scattered cumuli and blooming the sky slowly larger. The owl-feather arrow flights cast a doubly soft shadow against the white wall of the mountain shrine, softer than that of the shaft which pierced the sentry’s neck, pinning him upright, facing East, dead eyes blind to the silently approaching soldiers, but open to the glory of the rising sun.
